Three Sisters Garden
Do you know that the legend of the Three Sisters comes from Native American culture and that stories of the Three sisters varies from tribe to tribe.
Perhaps the best known is the inter-planting of corn, beans and squash--a trio often referred to as the "three sisters". They are seen as the three beautiful sisters because they grow in the same mound in the garden. The Corn provides a ladder for the Bean Vine. The Squash gives shade to the ground surrounding the Beans and Corn.
Our Three Sisters garden grew nicely last summer. We have plans to continue this garden in 2018.
